About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Montemac-L Syrup is a combination medication indicated for the treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children six years of age and older. Each 5ml dose contains 2.5mg of levocetirizine, a potent and selective H1-receptor antagonist, and 4mg of montelukast, a cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonist. The syrup provides rapid and sustained relief from nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes associated with allergic rhinitis. Additionally, it helps to reduce the frequency and severity of skin hives and itching associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria. The product is available in a sweet-tasting, strawberry-flavored syrup that can be administered orally. The recommended dosage is 5ml (one teaspoonful) twice daily. Montemac-L Syrup is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its components. As with all medications, it is important to follow the recommended dosage and administration guidelines carefully, and to monitor patients for any signs of adverse reactions.
