Product description & overview
Miokool 40 Tablet is a prescription medicine containing Esomeprazole 40mg, a proton pump inhibitor, indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis. It is also used to treat Barrett's esophagus with dysplasia. Miokool 40 Tablet works by reducing the production of stomach acid, thereby decreasing the symptoms of GERD and erosive esophagitis. The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily for up to 8 weeks. Treatment should be initiated with a full stomach. Patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome may require higher doses. The most common adverse reactions are headache, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain. Rare cases of esophageal candidiasis and bone fractures have been reported.
