Minicycline Capsule is a sterile, encapsulated dosage form containing doxycycline, a semi-synthetic tetracycline antibiotic, in a strength of 100mg per capsule. This medication is indicated for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and infections of the genitourinary tract. Minicycline Capsule is also used to prevent or treat malaria caused by certain types of plasmodium. The antibiotic acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing the growth and reproduction of susceptible microorganisms. The capsule is administered orally, typically 2 times a day, with or without food. The duration of therapy depends on the type and severity of the infection, as well as the patient's response to treatment.
