Misoprostol, a prostaglandin analogue, stimulates uterine contractions, facilitating the passage of the fetus and its expulsion. The Mifty Kit is administered in a two-step regimen: mifepristone is taken orally, followed by misoprostol administration, 2-3 days later. Patients should be carefully selected and instructed on the proper use and potential side effects of the medicine. Contraindications include known or suspected ectopic pregnancy, undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding, and adrenal failure.
