Linero D 10mg/5mg Tablet is a fixed-dose combination medication containing dapagliflozin 10mg and linagliptin 5mg, indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that reduces renal glucose reabsorption, promoting urinary glucose excretion and thereby lowering blood glucose levels. Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that enhances incretin hormone activity, increasing insulin secretion and decreasing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. The complementary mechanisms of action of these agents provide effective glycemic control when used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs, including metformin. Linero D is particularly beneficial for patients inadequately controlled on diet and exercise alone or on existing oral antidiabetic therapy.
