Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 histamine receptors, thereby reducing symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, and pruritus associated with allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor CysLT1, mitigating inflammation and bronchoconstriction commonly seen in asthma and allergic rhinitis.
