Levonen is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections such as community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial sinusitis, and chronic bronchitis exacerbations, as well as urinary tract infections including complicated and uncomplicated cases, skin and soft tissue infections, and prostatitis. The tablet should be administered orally, with dosage and duration tailored according to the severity and type of infection, as well as patient-specific factors including renal function. Common side effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, as well as central nervous system effects like headache and dizziness. Rare but serious adverse reactions include tendonitis, tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, and central nervous system effects such as seizures. Levonen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones.
