Lavender-M Tablet is a combination medication containing Levocetirizine 5 mg and Montelukast 10 mg, indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis and chronic asthma. Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedative antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, and pruritus associated with allergic conditions. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors in the airway, preventing bronchoconstriction, inflammation, and mucus production, which are key contributors to asthma pathophysiology. The synergistic action of these agents provides effective relief from both upper and lower respiratory allergic manifestations. Lavender-M Tablet is suitable for adults and pediatric patients above the age of 15 years, offering once-daily dosing convenience to enhance compliance.
