Koryzet-LC Tablet contains Levocetirizine 5 mg and Montelukast 10 mg, combining an antihistamine and a leukotriene receptor antagonist to provide effective relief from allergic conditions. Levocetirizine, a selective H1 receptor antagonist, alleviates symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, and itching associated with allergic rhinitis by inhibiting the action of histamine. Montelukast selectively blocks leukotriene D4 receptors in the lungs and bronchial tubes, reducing bronchoconstriction, inflammation, and mucus production, thereby improving airway function in asthma and allergic rhinitis. Koryzet-LC is indicated for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in patients requiring both antihistaminic and leukotriene receptor antagonist therapy. The combination enhances symptom control and improves patient compliance by reducing the pill burden. It is generally well tolerated; common adverse effects may include headache, fatigue, dry mouth, and gastrointestinal disturbances. Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment and a history of neuropsychiatric events.
