Kebren Capsule contains a combination of Domperidone 10 mg and Omeprazole 20 mg, formulated to manage gastrointestinal disorders associated with acid reflux and delayed gastric emptying. Domperidone is a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist that enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the movement of the stomach and intestines, thereby facilitating faster gastric emptying and reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, leading to a significant reduction in gastric acidity. The combined action of these agents provides symptomatic relief in conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and functional dyspepsia. Kebren Capsule is indicated for patients experiencing heartburn, acid regurgitation, and upper abdominal discomfort related to acid peptic disorders.
