Kairos 40 Tablet contains Pantoprazole 40mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce gastric acid secretion in the treatment of various acid-related gastrointestinal conditions. Pantoprazole acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing the final step of acid production. This medication is indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection when used in combination with appropriate antibiotics. Kairos 40 is also effective in the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) therapy. The usual adult dose is one tablet taken orally once daily, preferably before a meal, with the duration of therapy depending on the condition being treated. Pantoprazole is generally well tolerated; however, potential side effects may include headache, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and dizziness. Long-term use should be monitored by a healthcare professional due to risks such as vitamin B12 deficiency and bone fractures.
