Itgo-O2 Tablet contains a combination of Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg, which is indicated for the treatment of mixed bacterial and protozoal infections. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby preventing bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. Ornidazole is a nitroimidazole derivative effective against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa by disrupting their DNA synthesis. This synergistic combination is particularly useful in treating infections such as gastrointestinal infections, intra-abdominal infections, genitourinary tract infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections where both aerobic and anaerobic organisms are implicated. Itgo-O2 Tablet should be used under medical supervision, with dosage and duration tailored to the severity and type of infection. Caution is advised in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones or nitroimidazoles, as well as those with hepatic or renal impairment.
