It is indicated for patients who are in sinus rhythm with a resting heart rate of at least 70 beats per minute and who are either intolerant to or inadequately controlled by beta-blockers. Additionally, Ivabradine is beneficial in heart failure patients with a heart rate above 70 bpm despite optimal standard therapy, including beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, and diuretics. The usual dosage is 5 mg twice daily, adjustable based on heart rate response and tolerability, with a maximum dose of 7.5 mg twice daily.
