Domperidone, a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, acts as a prokinetic agent by enhancing gastrointestinal motility and accelerating gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, promoting mucosal healing and symptom relief in acid-related conditions. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, improving efficacy and patient compliance through reduced dosing frequency.
