Hopace-H 5 Capsule is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Ramipril 5 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. Ramipril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, works by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation, reduced aldosterone secretion, and decreased blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, promotes the excretion of sodium and water by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidneys, thereby reducing blood volume and peripheral resistance.
