Hhamclav 375 Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 250 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg, designed to treat a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. Amoxycillin, a beta-lactam antibiotic, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. Clavulanic Acid acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, preventing enzymatic degradation of Amoxycillin by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria, thereby enhancing its efficacy against resistant strains.
