Cefixime exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. The tablet is designed as a dispersible tablet (DT), allowing rapid disintegration in the oral cavity, facilitating ease of administration without water, which is particularly beneficial for pediatric and geriatric patients.
