Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the tone of the lower esophageal sphincter and accelerating gastric emptying, thereby reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and peptic ulcers.
