Glycidap 10mg Tablet contains dapagliflozin, a selective sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. By inhibiting SGLT2 in the proximal renal tubules, dapagliflozin reduces glucose reabsorption and increases urinary glucose excretion, thereby lowering plasma glucose levels. Glycidap is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose, and body weight, with additional benefits on blood pressure reduction. The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, taken orally in the morning, with or without food.
