Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the movement of the stomach and intestines, thereby facilitating gastric emptying and reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort associated with delayed gastric emptying. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, effectively reducing gastric acidity and promoting mucosal healing in acid-related conditions. The sustained-release formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, enhancing efficacy and patient compliance by reducing dosing frequency.
