Gasopil-DSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Pantoprazole 40 mg, designed to manage gastrointestinal disorders associated with acid reflux and motility disturbances. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility by promoting gastric emptying and reducing nausea and vomiting. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, thereby providing effective relief from acid-related symptoms such as heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and erosive esophagitis. The combined action of these agents in Gasopil-DSR Capsule facilitates symptomatic relief from upper gastrointestinal discomfort, improves gastric emptying, and prevents acid-induced mucosal damage. It is indicated for the treatment of GERD, functional dyspepsia, and other acid-peptic disorders where delayed gastric emptying and acid hypersecretion coexist.
