Fadox-CV Tablets are a combination medication containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil (200mg) and Clavulanic Acid (125mg). This unique formulation provides broad-spectrum coverage against various bacterial infections.
Cefpodoxime Proxetil, an effective penicillinase inhibitor, targets Gram-negative bacteria, including those causing respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin infections. Clavulanic acid enhances the efficacy of Cefpodoxime Proxetil by blocking the activity of beta-lactamases, enzymes that can destroy the antibiotic itself.
