Esomex-DSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Esomeprazole 40 mg, designed for the effective management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, and related upper gastrointestinal disorders. Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), acts by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, thereby significantly reducing gastric acid secretion and promoting mucosal healing. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, providing symptomatic relief from nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort associated with delayed gastric emptying.
