Esoblok D 30mg/40mg Capsule is a combination medication containing Domperidone 30mg and Esomeprazole 40mg, primarily indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dyspepsia, and related upper gastrointestinal disorders. Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion and promoting mucosal healing. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. The synergistic action of these two agents provides effective relief from acid reflux, heartburn, and associated discomfort by both reducing acid production and improving gastric motility.
