Esmocure-DSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Esomeprazole 40 mg, designed for the effective management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, and related upper gastrointestinal disorders. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, facilitates gastric motility and accelerates gastric emptying, thereby reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), selectively inhibits the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, leading to a significant reduction in gastric acid secretion. The combined action of these agents provides symptomatic relief by both enhancing gastrointestinal motility and suppressing acid production, promoting mucosal healing and improving patient comfort. Esmocure-DSR is indicated for patients with erosive esophagitis, non-erosive reflux disease, and other acid-related disorders where delayed gastric emptying and acid hypersecretion coexist. It should be administered under medical supervision, with dosage adjustments based on clinical response. Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to either component, and it is contraindicated in those with prolactinoma or significant cardiac arrhythmias.
