The combination of these demulcent agents acts by lubricating the ocular surface, thereby reducing discomfort caused by dryness, exposure to wind, dust, or prolonged screen use. Polyethylene Glycol 400 serves as a high molecular weight lubricant that retains moisture and enhances tear film stability, while Propylene Glycol contributes additional hydration and soothing properties. Zywet Eye Drop is indicated for symptomatic relief of dry eye syndrome, minor ocular irritations, and to support ocular surface health in patients experiencing tear film insufficiency. The formulation is preservative-free, minimizing the risk of hypersensitivity or allergic reactions, making it suitable for frequent use. It is recommended to instill one or two drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, ensuring proper hygiene to avoid contamination. Zywet Eye Drop is compatible with contact lenses; however, lenses should be removed prior to application and may be reinserted after 15 minutes.
