Zukanorm M 500mg/100mg Tablet SR is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing Metformin hydrochloride 500mg and Vildagliptin 100mg, formulated as a sustained-release tablet. It is indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adult patients inadequately controlled by diet and exercise alone or when monotherapy with either agent is insufficient. Metformin primarily acts by decreasing hepatic glucose production, improving insulin sensitivity, and enhancing peripheral glucose uptake, thereby reducing fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels.
