Zubidol MR Tablet is a combination analgesic and muscle relaxant formulation containing Aceclofenac (100mg), Paracetamol (325mg), and Chlorzoxazone (250mg). This medication is indicated for the management of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as strains, sprains, back pain, and other soft tissue injuries. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic effects through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, complementing the action of Aceclofenac. Chlorzoxazone acts as a centrally acting muscle relaxant, alleviating muscle spasms and stiffness by depressing interneuronal activity in the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain.
