Zoritraz-Forte Capsule contains Itraconazole 200 mg, a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent used for the treatment of various systemic and superficial fungal infections. Itraconazole exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase, which is essential for the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption leads to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death. Zoritraz-Forte is indicated for the management of infections such as blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, onychomycosis, and other dermatophytic infections.
