Zolcalm 10 Tablet is a combination medication containing Melatonin 3 mg and Zolpidem 10 mg, formulated to manage insomnia and related sleep disorders. Melatonin, a naturally occurring hormone, regulates the circadian rhythm and promotes the initiation of sleep, while Zolpidem, a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic agent, acts on the central nervous system by enhancing GABAergic activity to induce sedation and facilitate sleep onset. This dual-action formulation is indicated for patients experiencing difficulty in falling asleep or maintaining sleep, particularly when conventional monotherapy has proven insufficient. Zolcalm 10 Tablet should be administered orally, preferably 30 minutes before bedtime, to optimize therapeutic efficacy. Caution is advised in patients with a history of substance abuse, respiratory impairment, hepatic or renal dysfunction, and elderly individuals due to increased sensitivity to sedative effects. Common adverse reactions may include dizziness, headache, daytime drowsiness, and gastrointestinal disturbances. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to either component, severe hepatic impairment, or concurrent use of other CNS depressants without medical supervision.
