Zerodol-PG 200/75 Tablet SR is a combination analgesic formulation containing Aceclofenac 200 mg and Pregabalin 75 mg, designed for the management of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders and neuropathic conditions. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and swelling. Pregabalin, an anticonvulsant and neuropathic pain agent, modulates calcium channel function in the central nervous system, leading to decreased release of excitatory neurotransmitters and attenuation of neuropathic pain signals. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures a prolonged therapeutic effect, enhancing patient compliance through reduced dosing frequency. Zerodol-PG 200/75 is indicated for conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and neuropathic pain syndromes including diabetic neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia. It should be used under medical supervision, with caution in patients with renal impairment, gastrointestinal disorders, or hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or pregabalin.
