Zenostin-Gold Capsule IR is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Aspirin (75 mg), Rosuvastatin (20 mg), and Clopidogrel (75 mg), designed for the management of cardiovascular conditions requiring antiplatelet therapy and lipid-lowering treatment. Aspirin, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, exerts its effect by irreversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), thereby reducing thromboxane A2 production and platelet aggregation. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglycerides while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), contributing to the prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Clopidogrel, a thienopyridine class antiplatelet agent, selectively inhibits the ADP receptor on platelet surfaces, preventing platelet activation and aggregation. The fixed-dose combination in Zenostin-Gold Capsule IR is indicated for secondary prevention of myocardial infarction, stroke, and other thrombotic events in patients with established cardiovascular risk factors.
