Zaclo-CN Cream is a topical formulation combining Clotrimazole (1% w/w), Clobetasol propionate (0.05% w/w), and Neomycin sulfate (0.5% w/w), designed for the treatment of mixed fungal and bacterial skin infections accompanied by inflammatory symptoms. Clotrimazole, an imidazole antifungal agent, inhibits ergosterol synthesis, disrupting fungal cell membrane integrity and effectively treating dermatophytic and candidal infections. Clobetasol propionate, a potent corticosteroid, exerts anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects, providing rapid relief from inflammation, redness, and itching associated with dermatoses. Neomycin sulfate, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, offers broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against gram-negative and some gram-positive organisms, preventing or treating secondary bacterial infections. The combination cream is indicated for dermatological conditions such as tinea infections with inflammatory components, eczema with secondary bacterial infection, and other mixed infections where fungal and bacterial pathogens coexist. Zaclo-CN Cream should be applied topically in a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare professional, with treatment duration typically limited to minimize corticosteroid-related adverse effects.
