About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Ypax Eye Drop contains Carboxymethylcellulose 0.5% w/v, a viscous polymer used as a lubricant and artificial tear agent to relieve symptoms of dry eyes. It is indicated for the management of ocular surface dryness caused by environmental factors, prolonged screen exposure, contact lens wear, or post-surgical conditions. Carboxymethylcellulose acts by stabilizing the tear film and providing prolonged moisture retention on the corneal and conjunctival surfaces, thereby reducing irritation, burning, and foreign body sensation. Ypax Eye Drop is preservative-free, minimizing the risk of ocular surface toxicity and hypersensitivity reactions, making it suitable for frequent use. The formulation is isotonic and pH balanced to ensure comfort upon instillation. It is recommended to instill one or two drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, with dosage adjusted according to symptom severity. Caution should be exercised in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Ypax Eye Drop does not interfere with pupil size or accommodation and can be used concomitantly with other ophthalmic medications, provided a 5-minute interval is observed between applications. It is intended for topical ocular use only and should not be ingested. Proper hygiene should be maintained to avoid contamination of the dropper tip.
