Yamini LS Kit is a combined oral contraceptive containing Ethinyl Estradiol (0.02 mg) and Drospirenone (3 mg), indicated for the prevention of pregnancy. Ethinyl Estradiol, a synthetic estrogen, and Drospirenone, a synthetic progestin with antimineralocorticoid and antiandrogenic properties, work synergistically to inhibit ovulation, alter cervical mucus to prevent sperm penetration, and induce endometrial changes unfavorable for implantation. This low-dose formulation is designed to provide effective contraception while minimizing estrogen-related side effects. Yamini LS Kit is administered orally once daily, preferably at the same time each day, following a 24-day active pill regimen succeeded by a 4-day placebo or no-pill interval to allow withdrawal bleeding. It is essential to evaluate contraindications such as thromboembolic disorders, hormone-sensitive malignancies, liver dysfunction, and uncontrolled hypertension before initiating therapy.
