It is indicated for producing local or regional anesthesia by blocking nerve impulse conduction when administered via infiltration, nerve block, or intravenous regional anesthesia techniques. Lidocaine acts rapidly, typically within minutes, providing effective anesthesia for minor surgical procedures, dental interventions, or diagnostic procedures requiring pain control. The onset of action is usually within 2 to 5 minutes, with a duration of effect lasting approximately 30 to 60 minutes depending on the site and method of administration. Xylocare 2% Injection is also utilized for the management of ventricular arrhythmias due to its antiarrhythmic properties when administered intravenously under medical supervision. The product should be used with caution in patients with hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics, severe hepatic impairment, or cardiac conduction abnormalities.
