About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Xpain Plus 4 Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Thiocolchicoside (4mg), Aceclofenac (100mg), and Paracetamol (325mg). This formulation is indicated for the management of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as strains, sprains, osteoarthritis, and other soft tissue disorders. Thiocolchicoside acts as a muscle relaxant by selectively inhibiting glycine and GABA receptors, thereby reducing muscle spasms and associated discomfort. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic effects by central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, complementing the anti-inflammatory action of Aceclofenac while reducing fever. The combined action of these agents offers effective relief from pain, inflammation, and muscle stiffness. Xpain Plus 4 Tablet should be used under medical supervision, especially in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, hepatic or renal impairment, or hypersensitivity to NSAIDs. It is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation unless prescribed by a healthcare professional. Adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, or allergic reactions, and patients should report any unusual symptoms promptly.
