Xircox 90 Tablet contains Etoricoxib 90mg, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor used primarily for the management of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis. By selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, Xircox 90 reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation and pain, while minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly seen with non-selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This medication is indicated for patients requiring effective analgesia and anti-inflammatory treatment, especially when conventional NSAIDs are contraindicated or poorly tolerated. Xircox 90 is administered orally, typically once daily, with or without food, and the dosage should be individualized based on clinical response and patient tolerability. Caution is advised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, renal or hepatic impairment, and gastrointestinal disorders. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Etoricoxib or other NSAIDs, active peptic ulceration, and severe heart failure. Regular monitoring of renal function, liver enzymes, and blood pressure is recommended during prolonged therapy. Xircox 90 should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.
