Ximpar-A Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol acts centrally to alleviate pain and reduce fever through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. The synergistic action of these two agents provides effective relief from mild to moderate pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other inflammatory conditions. Ximpar-A is also indicated for managing postoperative pain and dental pain. It is generally well tolerated when taken as prescribed; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or paracetamol. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and dizziness. The tablet should be administered with food to minimize gastrointestinal irritation. Dosage and duration of therapy should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the severity of symptoms and patient response. Ximpar-A should not be used concomitantly with other NSAIDs or paracetamol-containing products to avoid toxicity.
