Xfenac-SP 15 Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac (100 mg), Paracetamol (325 mg), and Serratiopeptidase (15 mg). Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol complements this action by providing effective analgesia and antipyresis through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, with minimal anti-inflammatory activity. Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, facilitates the breakdown of inflammatory mediators and promotes the resolution of inflammation by enhancing tissue permeability and reducing edema. This synergistic combination is indicated for the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, postoperative pain, and soft tissue inflammatory conditions. Xfenac-SP 15 Tablet offers rapid and sustained relief from pain and inflammation while improving functional mobility. It is generally well-tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers, hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs.
