Xeroflam-S Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Diclofenac 50 mg, Paracetamol 325 mg, and Serratiopeptidase 10 mg. Diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol provides additional analgesic and antipyretic benefits through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, enhancing pain relief while minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with NSAIDs. Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, facilitates the reduction of inflammation and edema by breaking down inflammatory mediators and promoting fibrinolysis, which aids in the resolution of swelling and pain.
