Xenolol Fort Tablet is a combination medication containing Clonazepam 0.5 mg and Propranolol 20 mg, indicated for the management of anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and certain cardiovascular conditions. Clonazepam, a benzodiazepine, exerts anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, and muscle relaxant effects by enhancing the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the central nervous system, thereby reducing neuronal excitability. Propranolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker, decreases heart rate, myocardial contractility, and blood pressure, making it effective in controlling symptoms of hypertension, angina, and arrhythmias, as well as mitigating physical manifestations of anxiety such as tachycardia and tremors. The synergistic action of these agents provides comprehensive symptom relief in patients with coexisting anxiety and cardiovascular conditions. Xenolol Fort should be administered under medical supervision, with dosage individualized based on clinical response and tolerability.
