Aspirin, a well-known antiplatelet agent, inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing thromboxane A2 synthesis and preventing platelet aggregation. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglycerides while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), contributing to the reduction of atherosclerotic plaque progression.
