Oldbeta-XL 50 Tablet contains Metoprolol Succinate 47.5 mg, a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker used primarily in the management of hypertension, angina pectoris, and heart failure. By selectively inhibiting beta-1 receptors in the heart, Metoprolol reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, thereby decreasing oxygen demand and lowering blood pressure. This extended-release formulation allows for once-daily dosing, providing consistent plasma levels and improved patient compliance.
