Nurozec-NT Tablet is a combination medication containing Gabapentin 400 mg and Nortriptyline 10 mg, indicated for the management of neuropathic pain and certain types of chronic pain disorders. Gabapentin, an anticonvulsant, modulates calcium channels to reduce neuronal excitability, thereby alleviating neuropathic pain symptoms. Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, enhances norepinephrine and serotonin activity in the central nervous system, contributing to its analgesic and mood-stabilizing effects. This dual-action formulation is particularly effective in patients who require both neuropathic pain control and adjunctive antidepressant therapy. Nurozec-NT is prescribed for conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and other neuropathic pain syndromes. The combination may also improve sleep disturbances associated with chronic pain. Dosage should be individualized based on patient response and tolerability, with careful monitoring for potential adverse effects including dizziness, sedation, dry mouth, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
