Nulong-MT 25 Tablet ER is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Cilnidipine 10 mg and Metoprolol Succinate 23.75 mg in an extended-release formulation. Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker, selectively inhibits L-type and N-type calcium channels, leading to vasodilation of peripheral arteries and reduction of sympathetic nerve activity, thereby lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-1 selective adrenergic receptor blocker, decreases heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, contributing to effective blood pressure control and reduction of myocardial oxygen demand. The extended-release formulation ensures sustained plasma concentration, promoting once-daily dosing and improved patient compliance.
