Etoricoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor that provides anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by selectively blocking the COX-2 enzyme, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in pain and inflammation. Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic agent that acts centrally to alleviate mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. The synergistic action of these two agents makes Nucib-P Tablet suitable for the treatment of various musculoskeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis, as well as for managing postoperative pain and dental pain. Nucib-P offers rapid onset of pain relief with a favorable gastrointestinal safety profile compared to non-selective NSAIDs, due to the selective inhibition of COX-2 by Etoricoxib. It is recommended to be used under medical supervision, especially in patients with cardiovascular risk factors, hepatic or renal impairment.
