About This Medicine
Product description & overview
The Nilocap 200mg Capsule contains Nilotinib, a potent tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Indicated for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in chronic, accelerated, or blast phase, including those with the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph+) in the absence of an approved TKI or in cases of intolerance or resistance to prior TKIs. Nilocap should be taken orally, twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart, with a light meal. Patients should be monitored closely for adverse effects such as fluid retention, pleural effusion, QTc interval prolongation, and hepatotoxicity. Dose adjustments may be necessary based on individual patient response and tolerability. Avoid concomitant administration with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors and inducers. It is crucial to maintain a comprehensive drug monitoring program throughout therapy.
