Montral AB 200mg/10mg Tablet is a combination therapy containing Acebrophylline (200mg) and Montelukast (10mg) indicated for the treatment of bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and perennial allergic rhinitis. Acebrophylline, a bronchodilator, relaxes the smooth muscle in the airways, improving lung function and reducing symptoms of bronchial asthma and COPD. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, inhibits the action of leukotrienes, which are potent bronchoconstrictors, thereby reducing inflammation and bronchospasm. The combination of these two agents provides a synergistic effect in managing respiratory symptoms. In patients with bronchial asthma, it helps to improve lung function, reduce bronchial hyperresponsiveness, and decrease the frequency and severity of exacerbations. In patients with COPD, it helps to improve lung function, reduce symptoms, and decrease the frequency and severity of exacerbations. The tablet is taken once daily, with or without food, and is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the tablet.
