Momederm Cream, a topical corticosteroid, contains mometasone 0.1% w/w, a potent anti-inflammatory agent. It is indicated for the treatment of various skin conditions characterized by inflammation, pruritus, and skin lesions, including eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. The cream is applied topically to affected areas, 2-3 times daily, as needed, and should be gently massaged into the skin until fully absorbed. Momederm Cream reduces inflammation and skin irritation by inhibiting the production of various inflammatory mediators, including arachidonic acid, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes. Its potent anti-inflammatory effects make it an effective treatment for a range of skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and seborrheic dermatitis. Additionally, Momederm Cream exhibits minimal to no systemic absorption, making it a safe and well-tolerated treatment option. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. As with any topical corticosteroid, prolonged use may lead to skin atrophy, striae, and telangiectasia; therefore, treatment should be discontinued if significant improvement is not observed within 2-4 weeks.
